Oscars 2016
This Academy Award show was a unique one to say the least. Of course with Chris Rock hosting you knew it would help ease the stiffness of the award show. It's unfortunate that we live in 2016 and somehow have NO African American nominated for an Oscar. So of course most, probably 90%, of the jokes were about the lack of diversity with the Academy and nominations. The funniest part for me was when Chris goes to Compton and interviews moviegoers about nominated movies and the lack of diversity. I so so wish I could find a link for it. It definitely was a good chuckle. (I'll see if I can find a link in the morning)
On to what we really want to talk about....The Fashion! My favorite look of the night was Olivia Munn. Her one shoulder tangerine gown was a showstopper. I love how she kept everything simple and just lets the gown do the talking. I would so so wear this dress. Maybe it's because I just got my eyebrows threaded, but hers look flawless!!
olivia munn wearing stella mcCartney
olivia wilde in valentino. I'm a sucker for pleating so this gown had me. I don't love the choker though
The back is just as flawless
New oscar winner, Brie Larson for her role in Room (can't wait to see it) wearing gucci
Naomi Watts wearing Armani prive. My favorite thing about this gown is her husband actor, Liev Schreiber, made the final selection and picked this dress
charlize theron wearing christian dior. Her film mad max: fury road won so many awards. just one more to add to the movie night list
chrissy teigen wearing a baby bump hugging marchesa gown
Priyanka chopra in a showstopper zuhair murad gown
lady gaga in a gown pant suit made by her friend brandon maxwell
I can't forget about the men of the night. I would have to say it's a tie between Michael Fassbender and Jacob Tremblay. But if I had to pick, it's Jacob. His personality is just too too cute!! He's breaking hearts with his cuteness factor.

By far the most touching moment of the night was when Lady Gaga performed her nominated song "Til It Happens to You" for the film, The Hunting Ground. The documentary is about sexual assaults on college campuses. Midway through her performance she has survivors join her on stage.
And finally Leonardo won his first Oscar. It's been a long time coming and I think honestly everyone was just so so happy for him. I love how he spent part of his time to speak about a topic that is so so important to him and really the world.
Thanks so much for reading! What was your favorite look of the night?
