Picture Lights
Picture lights. They serve a function, yet do the work with such style. When used to highlight art they draw you in to come take a closer look. They add such a soft glow and is a nice option when you can add another type of lighting to your space. It will elevate your decor and will bring a lot of ambiance, especially at night.
ART
That might be the most well behaved cat I've ever seen.
I have shown this photo before in another blog post, but is such a beautiful shot I had to share it again. Designed by Alice Lane Home

My Dad's lady friend is what we call a "Birdie". She has all these books on birds and even goes on birding trips. I honestly didn't get why she liked birds so much til I saw this photo. They really are beautiful animals. I don't know what type of birds these are but their coloring is remarkable. That color combo would make for a pretty special room. Designed by Creative Tonic.

I like how the picture lights help deflect some attention away from the big black television.
As you know, anything in repetition always gets me. So these lights hung consecutively after another has me swooning. This is Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent's prior home in New York. If you want to see their sparkling kitchen you need to read this older blog post.

Such a better option than a row of light bulbs
LET'S GO SHOPPING
Think you have a spot where you can add a picture light or many? Then start shopping. But just remember when you put lighting over art, over time direct light can cause damage. So make sure you have protective glass and if your bulb is halogen it can actually burn the material over time. So spend some time and do your homework.
