Floral Drama
Awhile back I stumbled upon Ashley Woodson Bailey's florography. The first photo of hers that I saw was one from her Dark series where she had photographed a bouquet of flowers in just the most pure form.
I then got sucked in to her Instagram account and couldn't stop looking at just how perfectly she captures not only a bouquet but just a lone flower. I personally love the photos of just the one perfect flower. I can't help but look at that flower and hear "her" say, yes I think the flower is a girl, "oh little 'ole me the Peony?"
And you won't even believe this, a lot of times she uses her iPhone to capture and edit the photos!!
Since I originally started following Ashley a lot has changed for her business. She's now offering wallpaper of her gorgeous flowers and even has her flowers walking the streets.
Once I saw her photos I couldn't stop thinking about large scale floral wallpaper. What's so great about an oversized wallpaper is you can paper just one wall and get lots of impact without having to wallpaper all four walls.
I absolutely love how the chairs aren't a match but coordinate perfectly. You can't go wrong with florals and blue and white when they're combined. It's a classic pattern that will stand the test of time.
This reminds me of a giant paint by numbers. I'd love to start coloring some of those flowers! Oh to be an eight year old girl again.
Why not go graphic with your florals?
Now if only these papers came in a scratch and sniff option. Sniff Sniff
Thanks so much for reading!!
