Venetian Mirrors
I've had a love affair with Venetian mirrors for as long as I can remember. I've spent I don't know how many hours imagining having an antique Venetian mirror, a Murano chandelier in my dining room, and a powder room with a wash stand like this in my forever home. I can't wait to buy our forever home and make these changes, either after I win the lottery, or seriously decide to do something with starting a design company. Life goals, check.
When you place a Venetian mirror you instantly add glamour, romanticism, and an old world feeling to your space. Whether that space is your living room, bedroom, or bathroom, you're adding a breathtaking and ornate item to your space. It's not only attractive, but also gives light to your room by being reflective and bouncing light. If you get a true antique Venetian mirror it will probably have a floral motif and have an old wooden back. What I personally love about an antique Venetian mirror is that the mirror isn't as bright and shiny as the new ones of today. I like that some parts are duller than others, it doesn't immediately scream "look at me". Of course if you go hunting for a true antique one it won't be perfect. Expect to find a crack or two in the mirror, but honestly that's what adds to its character.
Do you just love these mirrors as much as me?
Thanks for reading! Happy weekend!!
